As a reader of this blog it’s likely you’re either already registered as a gemsatwork Ambassador, or you work in an office lucky enough to have received employee rewards in form of free products from us and our brand partners. We think it’s a great service that we provide – the feedback we get certainly tells us that – and we’re always working hard to continue to be able to provide you with products you’ll want to receive.
A little refresher of how it works
In simple terms, when a brand approaches us about giving away their products, they want to ensure they are going to people who want to receive them, and are likely to enjoy them (and maybe even go on to buy them in future!). For each giveaway we contact the gemsatwork Ambassadors in the qualifying offices, offering them the chance to take part. A couple of weeks later we deliver the products to the Ambassadors who opted-in, who then share them out for the other employees in their companies to try. We run a short survey to allow people to leave their feedback after trying their freebie, and normally include a prize as an additional thank you.
How does your feedback help us all?
As a member of the gemsatwork Community you’ll receive exciting new products to try completely free of charge. In return, we hope that you’ll take a couple of minutes to tell us about your experience of the product.
This feedback is really useful. It helps us know what types of products people like you enjoy receiving, which means we can choose the best brands to work with and keep on giving you products you’re going to like. Secondly your feedback helps our brand partners to improve their products and make better decisions about new products they might want to introduce into the market. Why is this good for you? Well as a consumer you get more choice and more of the products you like available.
How do we go about deciding who to offer our products to?
Sometimes the number of products available may be limited, so we’ll stick to a particular area – for example in certain cities or regions. Other times the giveaways are much more widely spread. In all cases, we – and our partners – want to ensure that the freebies we provide go to people who will enjoy them. Sometimes we look at the feedback given in previous giveaways, but more often than not we look at peoples’ preferences.
Via your own and your employees individual gemsatwork accounts, you can tell us the types of products and offers you’d like to receive – from ‘healthy snacks’ and ‘hot drinks’ to ‘fragrances’ and ‘something for the kids’. There is a wide range of categories to choose from, and we aim to deliver treats to the offices from where we’ve received the most requests for that type of product.
Doing it this way ensures that we reward members of the gemsatwork Community who engage with us, and makes sure that the treats go to where they’ll be most appreciated.
How can I receive more treats for my team?
Some companies in our network receive treats more frequently than others. Here’s what you can do to give yourself the best chance of receiving more for your office.
If you’re a gemsatwork Ambassador:
- When you do receive treats from us, encourage as many people as you can to leave their feedback. All feedback, good or bad, is welcome and valued
- Keep your preferences regularly updated and encourage your team to do so too. This will ensure we know what to offer you.
- Keep your eyes peeled for our emails. It’s always on a first come, first served basis so if you’re interested, opt-in when you receive the email to ensure you don’t miss out.
If you work in a company that has registered for gemsatwork:
- When you receive a treat from your gemsatwork Ambassador, take a few moments to let us know what you thought of it and encourage your colleagues to do the same after they’ve tried theirs.
- Activate your account and tell us about your interests and preferences so we can match you to relevant treats.
Have you received any treats from us? Do you have any suggestions about how we can improve the service we offer? Let us know in the comments below; we’d love to hear from you.
